PostHeaderIcon I am disappointed, hopeless.

In my last post i received a lot many comments mostly grieving for Mushi being out of scene. There were a couple of them who were happy with the change. Why I wasn’t happy with Musharraf leaving is not that I’m a die hard fan of Mush but because I could see the corrupt “wadera” rule coming in.

People who are in rule, I know, you know and we all know how good reputed they are! Thief’s, with no cosmetic affect! (I even hate Zardaris moustaches, he looks so uneducated, filthy and greedy ***) I wonder how can people even vote for him!

In Pakistan we do not think as Pakistanis. We think as Sindhis, balochis, Mohajirs,Pathan and Punjabi. We do not think what the politicians will bring to this country, we think which political party represents us (us not in being Pakistanis, not someone who will represent Pakistan, but us in being Sindhis, mohajirs, punjabis….) I have known educated people voting for PPP just because she was Sindhi! What fools we have in here.

Majority of people I know were upset on Mushi’s resignation. The status on MSN, Facebook, gtalk, it was quite evident that people were not very happy (at least the ones in my circle and I have a huge circle of friends) Then who are the ones who danced, distributed mithai, and cherished? Not the educated class, I bet! Politicians of our are far from being educated.

We have a variety of rotten apples around us. We have seen the reigns of PPP, PML and Mushi. We need not only new faces but also new strategies rather than only rallies and protests.

… because we really ARE Sindhis, Balochis, Mohajirs, Pathans, and Punjabis. The word ‘Pakistani’ has got no ‘signified’ to ‘signify’(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meaning_(linguistic).

It was our politicians who had this opinion that there existed a nation as Muslim, or, more suitably, Pakistani. And, interestingly enough, on the one hand, we based the movement for an ‘independent’ country calling Muslims a antion; on the other, after the British left, we made a ‘federation’ accepting that there were many nations (except for Mohajirs: they’re not a nation. they are pl belonging to different cultures and backgrounds who came to live here from India.) not ONE. There are many ‘nations’ living in the area we call as one country, viz. Pakistan. (Would like you to read the very first nazm in ‘Urdu ki Aakhri Kitab’ by the very famous and wonderful poet Ibn-e-Insha where, on being asked the question about nations of Pakistan, he says ‘Maaf kejiyega, ghalti hogayi…aainda nahin banayengy!’ Promise. GO and check yourself.) So, let them express what they truly are! Y object to it?

I can tell you another example of such a person who has “moustaches”[sic] and “looks so uneducated, filthy and greedy)”. Hope you got that! :)

Quote: “Majority of people I know were upset on Mushi’s resignation. The status on MSN, Facebook, gtalk, it was quite evident that people were not very happy”

With much sympathy, ma’am, the present govt., unlike Mushi’s who was a ‘dictator’ in its true sense, is a democratic one and the people of the ‘land of the pure’ voted them, if you can remember! I don’t know why they are crying when they themselves opened the Pandora’s box by voting them… (this should NOT imply that I’m a supporter of the present govt. In fact, I’m among the strongest opponents of it.)

    Point 4:
Quote: “Then who are the ones who danced, distributed mithai, and cherished? Not the educated class, I bet!”

They were common people of our towns and cities, I saw them! :) Tune into any news channel and see who speaks against him.. or at least read Ayesha Siddiqa’s “Enticing the people” (http://www.dawn.com/2008/08/22/op.htm#1). I hope you wouldn’t go that extent where you would call her uneducated.

    Point 5:
Quote: “We have a variety of rotten apples around us.”

Yeah! :) And they stink as well.. $$%YuCK$$%%!!

    Point 6:
Quote: “We need not only new faces but also new strategies rather than only rallies and protests.”

That’s what I say! We “need not only new faces but also new strategies”…but, alas! Previously, we had Mushi; now we have Asif and Nawaz… and, lo! No change at all as they all belong to Kingdom Anamalia (oooppssss!! sowwie!)

    That’s all, Your Hono’r!

dude ppl have a strange way with things they really do ! ignorance has no boundaries . I myself wasn’t a bi fan of mushy but there is obvious existence of better than worse! even a plastic ki rotten chapal can serve better than zardari for heaven sake !

  • Unaiza Nasim says:

@Sana : I couldnt help laughing off at plastic ki chappal. Funny but so true!

  • Anas Imtiaz says:

It wasn’t the common man celebrating. If you view the TV footages, the celebrations were going on under party banners. Dawn News shows it every hour, a guy firing rifle holding the PPP flag. I didn’t witness a single celebratory gathering of crowd in Karachi that day.

Still assuming that the common man did celebrate in most parts of the country, I’d attribute it to their lack of education which is a gift of the feudal system and the fact that most uneducated people have affiliations with their regional party. It’s never based on logic in Pakistan.

@ the first comment: As you rightly said, Musharraf was a dictator (but not in a true sense), then what is the difference between a dictator and a “truly democratically elected government”? I can’t see any. If that was dictatorship, then I’m all for it. :)

    AamirRaz,

Muhammad (S.A.W.W) made Panjabis, Sindhis, Baluchis, Muhajirs and other ONE NATION. If you don’t agree with that then please let me know what religion you belong too.

Falling for the idols of Ethnicity are the traits of “Jahilia”. There is nothing to be proud of. Neither Sindhis are superior to the Muhajirs and neither are Muhajirs superior to the Sindhis.

Whoever prefers ethnicity over the brotherhood of Islam has nothing to do with Muhammad (S.A.W.W). [PERIOD]

Muhammad (SAWW) loved his homeland, Makkah; I love my homeland, Sindh!

    Why blame nationalists, then?
(Note that the word ‘Nation’ in Latin means ‘birthplace’)
